Hello Everyone,
Things are starting to get busier with wedding cakes and I am starting to have fun again. This past weekend we had two weddings plus a large Sponge Bob birthday cake and a cute Easter egg cake. The wedding cakes were a breeze since I love decorating them but Sponge Bob was hard, lol. We of course had a 3-D Sponge Bob sitting on top of the three tiered cake (pillared) with lots of colorful fish, sea weed and a couple of other 3-D characters whom I do not know the names. One sorta looks like a star fish wearing swimming trunks and the other looks similar to a cat in a divers suit. I am sure the kids know who they are. The cake is really cute. You will have to check out my Childrens page 3 to see them. I should have them updated on my website by the end of the week. I am so far behind is posting my pictures.

Yesterday we finally closed on my mothers house. The house has been for sale for a little more than a year and it was becoming very stressful to say the least. Thank goodness it is finally sold and no more double house payments, double utility bills, double home insurance etc. Maybe we can start breathing again.

Today looks like it is going to be beautiful and Tad will be delivering the cakes this afternoon. My darling husband is finally painting the small bathroom and it will soon be done. We have only had the paint for that room since 2006. Can you tell he doesn't like to paint, lol. After he's finished in there, I can't decide if the living room is next or the master bath. And yes, I help paint but I am a better supervisor. :)

Trying again

Hi,
I am trying again and posting a short blog this evening. I spent the entire day returning calls, icing and decorating a wedding cake plus a party cake. I love decorating but returning calls and listening to messages are down a little on my list. Reading emails though is the pits. I need to hire a secretary, lol.

Ok. Dinner time now. I have a delicious meatloaf in a crockpot and a bag of already prepared mashed potatoes ready to be nuked. Can you tell cooking is also very low on my favorite things list. However, I did make the meatloaf from scratch. :) BTW, I used to love cooking but since discovering wedding cakes, I am too tired to actually cook anymore. I get up about 6 and immediately start looking at cake recipes, wedding cake pictures and by the time I get out of bed, several hours have gone by and I have millions of cakes jumping around in my head. I love to decorate cakes.

Blogs are definitely a challenge to me because I am computer illiterate. However, I have managed to get this far but not without S-T-R-E-S-S. I bet I have hit the same link 15 million times to get anywhere I needed to go. I certainly wish I understood what I am doing -time and practice will eventually pay off.
